The original project was built with outdated technologies and methodologies ultimately creating unusable software just six months after deployment. Because resources were already spent on the original software solution, the company had limits on time and budget. The massive quoting process would often take around four days to complete.
After a thoughtful discovery phase, the Buildable™ team was able to produce a new system matching the exact needs of the client. The team quickly removed all unused functionality and focused solely on the needs of the user. We added batch uploads to build very complex quotes on the fly, turning four days of data input into one hour.
The new system unifies quoting, ordering, shipping, delivering, dispatching and invoicing to streamline all functional units of the business and gain more business with current resources. With the same number of employees, the team is able to go after five times as many prospective jobs as they were on the old system.
