Background

Project summary:

Buildable built a RESTful API with a full library of endpoints over Verdant Web Technologies' production database, created an online and offline capable data collection app on top of it, and enhanced the performance and reporting of Verdant's main MVC application.

About the client:

Verdant provides software for collecting, tracking, managing, and reporting on hazardous building materials across multi-facility organizations.

Opportunity / Challenge

Verdant needed to move its tech stack from a previous vendor while keeping production intact and taking on new investor-backed development. That meant a partner who could pick up an existing production system, keep it maintained, and build forward at the same time.

Solution

Buildable took on the project quickly, assigned a team of two to five people, and built a plan so the software could be managed, maintained, and extended without issue. After a series of smaller efforts to get acquainted, the team delivered the external RESTful API, the DataCollector app supporting reinspection, periodic surveillance, and bulk sample inventory workflows, and the performance work on the main MVC application. At the time of the November 2023 review, the relationship had transitioned to staff augmentation.

Results & Feedback

The API and DataCollector app were created and deployed, and performance enhancements shipped in the main application. The client points to Buildable's people as what set the firm apart, taking on the projects as if they were part of Verdant's own team.
